Rosturizm is set for a long season and support for charter transportation in the country

Rosturizm is ready to subsidize the programs of tour operators that develop the domestic product. This work will be long-term, and will not depend on the timing of the opening of borders and the return of outbound tourism.

Rosturizm considers all regions of the Russian Federation where there is a number capacity for setting charter programs. “The main thing is where to live and what is interesting to do,” said the head of the department Zarina Doguzova.

35-40 regions will be able to enter the program of subsidies for regular air transportation, and 10 regions can be considered for charter flights.

For example, one of these territories was Buryatia.

Rosturizm and tour operators are working on charter programs from Central Russia to the Far East. “Our task is to break down stereotypes. The Far East is perceived by Russians as an expensive and exclusive trip. We strive to make such a trip accessible to residents of Central Russia.

According to Zarina Doguzova, the department does not aim to support charters, “our goal is affordable packages.” Z. Doguzova cites as an example package tours to the Altai (they are formed on the basis of regular flights tour operator PEGAS Touristik) with prices from 35 thousand rubles.

Z. Doguzova: the Ministry considers it possible to extend the holiday season in Russia until the end of October: “...And we will be ready to support the programs of tour operators in the autumn.”

Doguzova stressed that the task of Rostourism is to develop domestic tourism, but not to do it artificially due to travel restrictions: “My task is to create such products in Russia, to develop the infrastructure so that the choice of recreation in the country is the best choice for our citizens.”

Rosturizm hopes for the return of foreign tourists no later than January 2021 after the introduction of an electronic visa throughout Russia.

According to Z. Doguzova, to stimulate the incoming flow, state support for tour operators that will bring foreigners will be expanded.
