According to tour operators, the current bookings of tours to the resorts of the south of Russia are so positive that they cause unrealistic estimates in the media on the occupancy of hotels.

Tour operators doubt the statement about the “total shortage of seats” in resort hotels in the south of Russia, and with figures in hand confirm that in high-budget hotels are now occupied by about 80% of rooms, but there are places in tours to the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea for August, there is a choice.

Ilya Umansky, the director of the tour operator ALEAN, urges not to dramatize and calls the media hype associated with the alleged “overload” of hotels on Russian beach resorts artificial, and reports that there are places in hotels for July and August.

“Yes, this year’s season is extremely concentrated, it is shorter, and therefore there is a hype.”

Director of the hotel chain "Atelika" Alexey Vysokanov agrees with colleagues, and notes a good load of hotels 4-5*, low-budget hotels have lower load rates. According to the expert, there were seats in hotels of different price categories for July and August.

About 30 out of 150 properties are now available for booking in Crimea, that is, about 80% of hotels are not available for the first week of August. In the Krasnodar region of 160 facilities available about 40, i.e. 25%, – says S. Romashkin, Director of the company “Dolphin”.

According to the expert, there is no reason to panic: he confirms the words of colleagues that you can still find rooms on the Black Sea in expensive and budget hotels.

For example, you can go to the sanatorium of the Krasnodar Territory for 15 thousand rubles. for two for a week with breakfast. In the Crimea there are options for 30 thousand rubles. for two for a week with breakfast. Of the expensive options, I note Imeretinka hotels, here you can relax for a week for 150 thousand rubles. for two.”

According to the expert, the current situation does not stand out from the traditional for this time picture of demand and load on the Black Sea resorts.

Loading in July-August in the south of Russia is always maximum. And this year, tourists had to book tours in an emergency order, which led to a huge load of resorts in the first half of July. Sales are also active now. I think it will be closed in two weeks. And in September, traditionally there will be a decline, hotels will reduce prices and tourists who could not enjoy their holidays in the summer, will be able to relax at affordable prices in the velvet season.

In general, suppliers are satisfied with the demand for Black Sea resorts in Russia, as sales confidently overtook the figures of the same period in 2019.
