How is Kaliningrad coping with the tourism boom?

The cost of tours increased by 10-20% by 2019. Experts of the travel industry say that the average check from June 22 to July 20, 2019 was 37,500 rubles. This year, over the same period, it rose to 43,000 rubles. The increase in cost is associated with general inflationary processes in the economy and the demand for the Kaliningrad direction.

Hoteliers also note an increase in hotel booking rates, including due to the easing of quarantine measures and the inaccessibility of foreign destinations.

The hotel room stock is loaded almost completely from the second half of July to August inclusive, the booking rate for September exceeds the filling rate in 2019. Tour operator Biblio-Globus reports that 95% of the room stock of Kaliningrad and the surrounding area is occupied.
