Bank Otkritie conducted a study among Russians to find out which tourist places in Russia for summer holidays can compete with foreign tourist destinations.

In the top 3 main tourist places of Russia, which are able to compete with foreign tourist destinations, Sochi 35% of Russians, Crimea (30%) St. Petersburg (16%)”.

Competitive for summer holidays in Russia 13% of respondents consider Lake Baikal, 11% - Altai, 9% earned Kazan and Moscow.

42% of Russians are going to spend a summer vacation at home or in the country, 26% of respondents plan to visit domestic resorts, 15% of respondents will go to new places in Russia, 6% – to any foreign country that will open for Russian tourists.

19% of Russians do not plan to go on vacation in the summer.

The study was conducted on July 3-7 on a representative sample of 1,000 Russians aged 18-60 years in cities with a population of more than 100 thousand people.
