St. Petersburg is preparing to open restaurants and shopping complexes
St. Petersburg Preparing for the resumption of restaurants and shopping complexes. As reported in Smolny, the opening is scheduled for Monday, July 27.
Governor of the Northern capital Alexander Beglov said that the issue of opening shopping complexes and restaurants should be settled with Rospotrebnadzor, because the city authorities “need to defend the interests of business.” According to him, the city is interested in the resumption of shopping centers and restaurants, including because it receives taxes from them.
Vice-governors were instructed to deal with this issue, and it is also planned to involve State Duma deputies elected from St. Petersburg to solve the problem.
Nana Gvichia, Deputy Chairman of the City Committee for Tourism Development, hopes that the tourism industry of St. Petersburg will work in August:
" We hope that in the near future we will be able to fully resume the work of representatives of the tourism industry and August will be familiar for our city, so to speak, filled with tourists.
From June 1, St. Petersburg began the phased lifting of restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Now there is a ban on holding mass events, shopping complexes and restaurants do not work. Masks are required in public transport and shops.
