What to see in Vancouver

Vancouver is a city on the Pacific coast with an amazing combination of urban life and wildlife. Its history has absorbed sea transportation, immigrant traditions and the spirit of the west coast, and the modern look is created by glass skyscrapers, cozy neighborhoods and quaint corners overlooking the mountains. The atmosphere here is both energetic and measured: you can start the day in a cafe on Robson Street and in an hour be on a quiet promenade or in a forest park.

Manufactures and facilities

Man-made attractions of Vancouver amaze with diversity and accessibility. In the heart of the city lies Stanley Park with historic piers, the statue of Inukshuk and the Lost Lagoon. The Lyons Gate Bridge effectively connects Downtown to North Vancouver, and the Capilano Suspension Bridge offers breathtaking views among centuries-old trees. On the observation tower Vancouver Lookout from a height of 168.60 meters opens a panorama of the whole city. The cultural palette is formed by the Cathedral of the Holy Rosary, the Russian Orthodox Resurrection Cathedral and the cozy Chinese Sun Yat-sen Garden. Family entertainment is offered by Hastings Park Racecourse and Playland Amusement Park, while botanical collections are collected at VanDusen and UBC Botanical Garden.

Natural attractions and places

The natural pearls around Vancouver beckon with green massifs and mountain scenery. Nearby are the Lynn Canyon forest gorges with scenic trails, the Hollyburn and Mount Seymour mountains for easy climbing and walking, and Garibaldi Park and Whistler’s famous bicycles attract outdoor enthusiasts. There are beaches on the coast, including Wreck Beach with ocean views, and in the vicinity you can see the Little Qualicum Falls and the sea expanses of the Juan de Fuca Strait. Regional and provincial parks create great opportunities for picnics, nature watching and secluded routes.

Build routes and visit interesting places

On our site you can see all these attractions on an interactive map, briefly read their descriptions and make your own route. Mark points of interest, compare distances and travel times to plan the day effectively, from a quick walk down Robson Street to a full day in Stanley Park or hike to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The map will help to combine man-made objects and natural corners into a single convenient route.

You are free to explore Vancouver on your own, following thoughtful routes, or book guided tours with local guides who will discover hidden stories and little-known locations. Local guides and excursion programs will help you better understand the cultural context, share tips on the best time to visit and safe trails, and make the walk rich and exciting. This is a great way to find out what to see not only through popular lists, but also through the eyes of those who live in the city.

Come to Vancouver to see the contrast between urbanism and pristine nature, stroll through parks and promenades, discover new routes and be inspired by sea and mountain scenery. Plan your trip in advance, mark your desired attractions and go for discoveries – the city is waiting for you with many stories, views and opportunities for vivid experiences.
