Russian authorities abolish mandatory 14-day isolation for those who enter the country

Information on the abolition of mandatory 14-day isolation for those who enter the country, appeared in the decree of the chief sanitary doctor Anna Popova, which is published on the Internet portal of legal information.

The need to go to quarantine is canceled from July 15. The visitor must have a medical document in English or Russian confirming a negative test for COVID-19.

A foreign national can provide a certificate of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, which was passed no earlier than 3 days before arrival in the country, and documents on the presence of immunoglobulin G antibodies (if any).

In the absence of documents, the visitor is obliged to pass a PCR infection test within three days, but already in Russia and at his own expense.

Similar rules will apply to Russian citizens who want to return to their homeland. If the results of their coronavirus test are positive, they will have to go to self-isolation at the place of residence until they recover and receive negative results for the coronavirus by PCR.

During the stay on self-isolation, you will have to exclude contact with family members who are not infected with COVID-19.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova does not rule out that the 14-day quarantine can be preserved for Russians who travel from countries with an unstable epidemic situation. If citizens do not have the results of the study on COVID-19, then they will have to stay in the observatory until they receive a negative test result.
