The Russian authorities explained the conditions under which flights with other countries will resume

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that the date of opening the borders and the resumption of air links with other countries will depend on the epidemiological situation.

“If, thanks to very clear criteria outlined and created by Rospotrebnadzor and relevant ministries, subjects open up certain opportunities for citizens in accordance with the situation, then, of course, outside our homeland such control, such controllability, openness of data will be extremely difficult to ensure.”

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that everyone is waiting for a vaccine against infection, which would radically solve this issue for Russians.

In his opinion, during the pandemic, the national health care system performed well, and “why was so much effort spent and so many lives saved – in order to take such actions so thoughtlessly now?”

The government expects that Rostourism will prepare proposals for the development of tourism in the country by autumn.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the talk about poor-quality service in Russia is partly fair, and this circumstance should be changed - to start traveling around the country. He stressed that Russia has a huge potential in terms of developing domestic tourism.

Earlier it was reported that Rospotrebnadzor proposed to resume flights to a number of countries. In the spring, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Russia stopped regular and charter flights with other countries. The exceptions are flights that take citizens from abroad, as well as cargo, postal, sanitary, some other flights.

The operational headquarters for combating the spread of the coronavirus reported that air traffic between Russia and other countries will be restored in two stages.
